It wasn't until high school and getting my drivers license did I truly fall in love with cars. I became obsessed with the freedom they offered, and the artristy behind modifying cars. A car is like a blank canvas, with each mod a brush stroke. My modfication taste isn't solely cosmetic, I do enjoy making my cars go faster. My dream car is the classic Mazda Rx7 FD, in full 99 spec trim, but still unattainable for now. Currently, I have a fun 99 Mazda Miata, and aim to hopefully add a 911 soon.
First car after high school, I decided to pick up a 99 miata in the summer of 2014. Came on some SSR wheels, koni yellow suspension, old RB type V style bar, and worn interior/softtop.
I instantly loved the car, being amazed with miatas since my friend bought a NA in hs, and started slowly building it with a track focus, but comfortable enough for daily driving. I added in the roll bar, refreshed the seats and interior, cleaned up the fluids and transmission which were ignored by the previous owner. After adding new suspension and tires, it felt like an even better car.
Car isn't without its woes though. Being a project car, I have been stranded multiple times, with many things breaking. So far, I consider it my dependable, unreliable DD and hopefully it stays in my garage for a while.
